This is a very simple but effective tool to practice scales and chords, and we are just starting. We are working to add more functionality and more kinds of exercises.
The app shows a series of exercises, randomly, and with an acoustic and visual metronome.
For each exercise, it will give us a set time to locate it on the fretboard and get ready to start. Once the exercise begins, we will do it with the help of the metronome, at a certain time and for a certain number of measures.
Each exercise consists of a scale or chord in a certain tone and in a concrete position. The information for the exercise is divided into two parts:
The first part is the tone and position, indicated by 2 numbers; The first number indicates the string in which the lowest tonic is found, and it will be 5 or 6, and the second number indicates the left-hand finger with which to begin.
The second part is the type of scale: major, relative minor, arpeggios, etc.
In Settings you can configure:
- Tempo: The tempo for the metronome.
- Number of measurementes for each exercise.
- Time to get ready.
- Type of Exercise: If each exercise is performed on a different note, or on the same note, all exercises are performed in sequence.
- Voice: The app Speaks the name of the exercises.
- Traditional or English notation (A, B, C ...)
- Accidentals.
